Sonam Kapoor returns from Cannes; will now start promoting Veere Di Wedding

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s red carpet outing at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival received mixed ratings from fashion pundits all over the world. While she impressed with some of her fashion picks, there were few disappointments too. For someone like Sonam, who redefined the word ‘fashionista’ for us, it was disappointing to see her commit such blunders. Nonetheless we are glad she’s back and will be able to spend some time with her hubby dearest Anand Ahuja. Sonam looked chic as always as she was clicked at the Mumbai airport on her return from Cannes. Sonam picked a casual light pink pantsuit for her airport appearance and we loved the way she paired it with white sneakers. With black shades and matching tote, Mrs Ahuja kept her airport extremely fuss free yet stylish. It is expected that the Veere Di Wedding actress will start promoting her movie with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania now that she’s done with all her previous commitments. It’s only after the release of VDW, that she will fly for her honeymoon before she resumes the shoot for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga. Also Read: Cannes 2018: Sonam Kapoor flaunts some hubby love at the French Riviera

Sonam was always known for being outspoken. Recently when the actress was trolled for changing her surname after marriage, she had a befitting reply to all the trollers. In an interview with DNA, Sonam hit back at everyone who judged her name change by saying,”I’ve always maintained that I’m a feminist. I have a choice to change my name when I want to do it. The fact is that Kapoor is also my father’s surname. So, I chose to keep both. And just to be a part of our family, Anand has also changed his name. But nobody wrote about that! My husband or his family has not asked me to do anything. Likewise, he did it on his own. We anyway take our father’s names, so if we can give that respect to them, we can give the same respect to our husbands, too. It’s my personal choice and somebody judging me for it is ridiculous.”
