Fan speak: Not Naagin 3’s Vikrant but Rajat Tokas was the most impressive as Emperor Akbar in Jodha Akbar

There is immense excitement around Naagin 3, which is going to be aired on TV from June 2. Everyone is quite impressed seeing the first look of the two Naagins, Anita Hassanandani and Karishma Tanna but the man whose first look made everyone go berserk was Rajat Tokas. On the show, he has a cameo as Vikrant/Naagraj, the king of serpents. The actor’s beefy avatar grabbed eyeballs and everyone was talking about his transformation for the show. He is paired with Karishma Tanna on the supernatural fantasy. It seems Ekta Kapoor wanted his look to be like that of the superhero Thor. Seeing the fan reaction to his look, we decided to conduct a poll on which first look of Rajat impressed fans the most. He has always played larger-than-life characters be it the Mughal ruler Akbar or the valiant Chandragupta in Chandra-Nandni. However, fans voted in large numbers for his look as Emperor Akbar in Jodha Akbar. As we know, the show was a huge hit and we got a number of awards for his exceptional performance. The historical show made a lot of news, especially because of the cold vibes between the leading actors, Paridhi and Rajat. Talking about his love for historical characters, Rajat had told India Today, “No, I am not scared of getting stuck with a label, if that is what you mean. The roles that I have portrayed in the past–Prithviraj Chauhan, Dharam Veer, and Jodha Akbar–have been completely different from each other. They were three different people who led three different lives. And after all, a role is a role. Every role is an opportunity, as long as you do your job faithfully, and do justice to the role that has been written for you, it is all fine.” Well, now the verdict is out that his performance and look as Akbar is the bestest ever.
