Exclusive! Here’s why Salman Khan won’t be seen in YRF’s Dhoom 4 anytime soon

No doubt, Dhoom 4 has been one highly awaited sequel from the celebrated franchise. However, this morning we got to hear a surprising scoop with Salman Khan’s name being finalised for the film. Mid Day quoted a source saying, “While Salman and Aditya have been discussing Dhoom 4 for over a year, the deal was finally locked last week post the release of Race 3. Adi plans to release Dhoom 4 in 2020. Vijay Krishna Acharya, who’s busy shooting Thugs of Hindostan, will direct the movie.” Although we had our concerns with this news considering Salman is already so caught up with films like Dabangg 3, Bharat followed by a few more films which have been announced (Dancing Dad, Sher Khan) but the netizens have been vouching for Salman in Dhoom 4 already. Say for that matter, this same report also suggests how Ranveer Singh too is in the running to join Salman in the film. But guess there is NO TRUTH to this scoop. A source close to the film clarifies,  “We have not even started thinking of a subject for Dhoom 4. Only once Vijay Acharya finishes shooting for Thugs Of Hindostan is when we will start thinking of how to go about the film. So there is no truth to any actor getting finalised for the film.”

Earlier in 2017, Shah Rukh Khan’s name had popped up for Dhoom 4. It was said that YRF head honcho Aditya Chopra offered it to him and he is willingly wanting to take it up. However, SRK soon cleared the air saying, “The film has not been offered yet, as I myself have told Adi (Aditya Chopra) that I am not free currently.”

Dhoom franchise has always had the best men play the villain. The first installment had the sexy John Abraham, then Dhoom 2 had Hrithik Roshan up the hotness quotient, followed by Dhoom 3 which had Aamir Khan being the perfect villain. It’s left to see who will be finalised for Dhoom 4 once the work begins. Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
